Middle East Technical University (METU) monitors annual graduate numbers by gender across undergraduate, master’s and doctoral programmes. The data presented in this evidence were obtained from the University’s VARSİS (University Information System) reports, which provide records for 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025. These records enable comparisons of female and male graduate numbers and the proportion of women among graduates at each degree level.

In 2025, women accounted for 45.1% of undergraduate graduates, 50.7% of master’s graduates and 53.5% of doctoral graduates. Tracking these figures over time provides a basis for examining gender differences in graduation outcomes and identifying degree levels where further investigation may be needed.

To assess women’s likelihood of graduating compared with men’s, METU can compare these graduation records with the corresponding female and male student cohorts or populations. Such an analysis would provide a more comprehensive understanding of gender differences in graduation outcomes across degree levels.
