Middle East Technical University (METU) systematically measures, audits, and tracks pay scale equity across all academic, administrative, and research roles to guarantee complete pay parity and eliminate gender-based compensation gaps. Bound by the METU MEMS Gender Equality Plan (Section 5.2.3 - Remuneration Policy) and governed by public statutory salary regulations (Laws No. 2914 & 657), METU combines transparent empirical data tracking with structured career advancement mentoring to ensure equal pay and equal opportunity at every level.
1. Institutional Remuneration Policy & Gender Pay Scale Audit (2025 Data)
- Gender Equality Plan Policy Commitment (Remuneration Policy): METU explicitly codifies its measurement framework:
"Career development and remuneration processes are conducted objectively and independently of gender, in strict accordance with clearly defined core criteria."
- Empirical 2025 Pay Scale Tracking Data: METU routinely audits base salary allocations across gender lines. As demonstrated in the official 2025 statutory pay scale audit below, there is a 0% Gender Pay Gap across all academic ranks, with female and male staff receiving identical net monthly compensation for equivalent pay grades:
